About the Event
Let us ask you a question: What movie from your childhood comes to mind when you think about the stories and messages that shaped your perceptions and beliefs regarding self image? Depending on your generation, it may be films like Wonder (2017) or Shallow Hal (2001). Whether we realize it or not, the media surrounding us in childhood can deeply influence how we view ourselves and the world around us.
That is why we invite you to join us in reflecting on and repainting some of the perceptions formed in childhood — transforming them with what you know now into what you wish you had known then. This action step through repainting yourself, may be deeply transformative and empowering!
Circle time will be dedicated to journaling and sharing our art and stories in a collaborative effort to stand for what matters most: self acceptance and love! Let’s be courageous!
